Jr Chowder Cup RELM Recap - Day 2
The boys would put on a dominant performance yesterday taking a commanding 7-0 victory over Northeastern Elite yesterday evening.

The boys would set the tone early in the game with a goal coming 30 seconds in off the stick of #14 Colby Hercia for his second of the tournament to catch Northeastern off guard which they would never recover from as the game progressed. Northeastern throughout the game would try and change the tone with physical play but would never get anything rolling and even shut down on the hitting front. A 5-on-3 would present itself for our RELM boys where they would show excellent passing and execution, which would be rewarded with a goal just as the powerplay expired from a Avery Wease goal. Less than a minute later #18 Caiden Chase would bang in a rebound to give the boys a 3-0 lead. Still maintaining pressure and keeping play in the offensive zone, #97 Avery Wease would once again find the mesh with 11:29 remaining in the period. Some time would pass before anything on the scoreboard would change but the scoresheet would still be filled between powerplay's and coincidental penalties for the tie-dye team. 5:15 would be the next time the board would change this time #25 Carson Caddick would find twine giving him his second of the tournament.

The 5-0 lead would continue into the second half, this time Northeastern would change goaltenders hoping to shake things up, continuing to try hits to drive some offense. The game would still be heavily RELM controlled with a few posts and bad bounces keeping them from pushing the margin further as a frustrated Elite team would continue taking penalties. It wouldn't be until 9:50 left in the period that on the PowerPlay that Chase would add his second of the game and tournament as he put one behind the netminder. Less than a minute later, Wease would cap off his hat trick game at 9:02 to put the final nail in the coffin as Northeastern struggled to take the puck off his hot stick. To put the cherry on top, Noah Groenveld would hold out in a last ditch push to get one on the board and concrete his shutout on the game.

The boys look to feed off this dominance and momentum as they will play the final round robin game against the also 2-0 Strong Island Ice Hockey at 3:40 pm this afternoon!
