2014 RELM Recap - Sunshine Cup Day 2
The 2014's saw a pair of games yesterday, here's what went down.
The 2014's would kick off their day with a game against the Tampa Bulls at 8:15 am yesterday morning and would be met with a fast and strong opponent. The Bulls would go ahead early and keep bringing the fight to the 2014 squad, but our team wouldn't go down without a fight scoring three goals in the eventual 11-3 loss.
The boys would get a chance to fight back as they took on the Atlantic Prospects team in an afternoon matinee. After getting the boys fired up for the game they would go out and strike first going up 1-0 on a strong prospects team. Not to go down without a fight the Prospects would tie the game up and take the lead near the end of the period. But the team kept their never say die attitude from the day before and tied the game at 2 before the period's end. Using the momentum they ended the period with the boys would retake the lead from the Prospects. But in a hard fought back and forth game, the prospects would come back with two of their own to take a 4-3 lead in the second period. After a strong talk from coaches Mitch Larabie and Christian Tsukamoto the 2014 comeback kid's would tie they game at 4 yet again. However, the Atlantic Prospects would get two goals late into the period with the boys unable to come back and took a 6-4 loss.
However, the boys get their revenge game today at 9 am as they play the Prospects again in semi final action.
