2012 RELM Recap - Sunshine Cup Day 1
The RELM Sports 2012 team came out flying to open their tournament play with a 7-0 win vs TBC. Here's how it went down.
The 2012 team came right out of the gate with an early powerplay goal to go up 1-0. Which would set the tone for the rest of the game as they kept the pressure on the whole time barely giving any chances to the other team, and shutting the ones they did allow, down quickly.
The second period would be no different as they piled on another three goals to there lead with two goals coming just two minutes apart. Coach Ryan Seymour was impressed with the team's constant pressure and strong team play and hopes this is just the beginning for the 2012 RELM team.
The third period would see the team start run-time as they made it 5-0 halfway through the third period but would stop there scoring less than a minute later and then just two minutes after that making the score 7-0. Then for the cherry on top, the team's goaltender Aviana backstopped the team to a nice shutout to really make a statement in the 2012 division.
After this nice win the team gets a nice day off before picking it back up Thursday, July 13th at 2:30pm against the Florida Chupacabra for game 2 of the tournament.
